What if boredom isn’t a flaw in your character, a lack of discipline, or simply having “nothing to do”? What if it is one of the mind’s most important messages?

While chronic boredom can contribute to anxiety, depression, addiction, and impulsive behavior, it also serves an essential evolutionary purpose: nudging us toward growth, exploration, and meaningful engagement.
